From the supplier: The Teaching Kids to Cope (TKC) program may be effective in preventing many of the problems teens experience. Surveys have shown that 15% to 22% of teens experience some type of mental illness. TKC is a 10-session form of group therapy taught by a psychiatric nurse that includes cognitive and behavioral techniques that teach teenagers coping skills, assertiveness training, social skills and conflict resolution skills. It also corrects certain cognitive distortions many teens have.
