great book August 5, 2010 m.f. (ames, ia) This book is absolutely the best I have come across in explaining the stress that can induce the manic and depressive episodes. Bipolar Disorder is a genetic illness. It is biochemical. There are things individuals can do to reduce their stress and lead productive lives.
For Those We Love June 14, 2010 M. Daly (Thousand Oaks, CA USA) I purchased this book along with a couple of titles on BiPolar after my girlfriend ended up in the behavioral unit and I realized that I needed to know a lot more about helping her manage her disease. This is by far my favorite title. An indispensable guide to understanding and managing the swings that Bipolar sometimes represent.
one of the best April 29, 2010 Catherine K. Howard (chicago IL USA) I have bi-polar issues and this book answered a lot of the questions and created some space to start conversation with people who are close to me but do not understand what I go through. Thanks to this author...takes one to counsel one.
