5 out of 5 stars great book   August 5, 2010

This book is absolutely the best I have come across in explaining the stress that can induce the manic and depressive episodes. Bipolar Disorder is a genetic illness. It is biochemical. There are things individuals can do to reduce their stress and lead productive lives.

5 out of 5 stars For Those We Love   June 14, 2010
M. Daly (Thousand Oaks, CA USA)
I purchased this book along with a couple of titles on BiPolar after my girlfriend ended up in the behavioral unit and I realized that I needed to know a lot more about helping her manage her disease. This is by far my favorite title. An indispensable guide to understanding and managing the swings that Bipolar sometimes represent.

I have bi-polar issues and this book answered a lot of the questions and created some space to start conversation with people who are close to me but do not understand what I go through. Thanks to this author...takes one to counsel one.
